See an NK Refugee Destination in Person

29 October 2009 – Sunday

A one-day tour has been scheduled for 29 October to visit Chiang Sean, the small town in northern Thailand where we recently donated boxes of supplies (pictures here)

This in-person visit to a North Korean refugee “escape route and destination,” will include visits to the Chiang Sean Police Station and Mae Sai Immigration Office, plus a boat trip on the Mekong River. The North Korean refugees must cross this river to reach safety in Thailand. This one-day tour will be on 29 Nov. – a Sunday.

For further information and to reserve your place for this trip, go to:   http://www.arnka.com/

27 & 28 November – Friday-Saturday

Immediately before the Chiang Saen 1-day tour, our organization will also participate in the 6th annual IPCNKR General Meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

IPCNKR is the international organization of lawmakers dedicated to defending the human rights of North Koreans (IPCNKR: International Parliamentarians’ Coalition for North Korean Refugees and Human Rights).

The event will be attended by leading legislators from several countries around the world. (By the way, our Kato Hiroshi will be one of the speakers at the event.) This is an unequalled opportunity for you to meet and mingle with some of the most forward-thinking leaders of Asia and Europe.
