Japanese Version of
White Paper on Human Rights in
North Korea 2010
Translated by this Organization
LFNKR announces the translation into Japanese of the 410-page "White Paper on Human Rights" published by the Korea Institute for National Unification. This is the first time a Japanese version of the white paper has been available. The paper, originally published in the Korean language in 2010, is a detailed report on human rights issues in North Korea. We believe that the translated version will help more Japanese understand the human rights situation in North Korea.
So far, no Japanese government agencies, university research institutes, NGOs or other organizations have produced white papers or research reports on human rights issues in North Korea. In Japan, there has been no extensive coverage of the various aspects of the issue, as in the white papers published by the Korea Institute for National Unification.
The Institute is the most prominent publisher of white papers on this issue, and as a government agency, they have broad access to relevant information.
The White Paper is also available in Korean and English language versions.
