Your quick help is needed – Please immediately write to
the Chinese authorities listed below, urging them to release
the very brave North Korean activist, Yoo Sang-joon, who is now
a South Korean citizen. He tragically lost his young son as he
tried to escape from China and has since been working to rescue
other North Koreans from danger in China.
LFNKR has learned that Yoo was arrested near
the Mongolian border and Mr Yoo is due to be tried in Inner Mongolia,
China at 9 am
on Monday 26th November 2007.
The trial date was set unusually quickly. It is felt that Chinese
authorities may be seeking to sweep this issue away quickly before
international attention can be brought to bear, especially in
light of the forthcoming Beijing Olympics
Mr Yoo's arrest and story were reported in The Sunday Times
on 18th November 2007. The article 'Death awaits Korea's escape
mastermind' can be viewed at
